These are the house rules for playing Snowman 3000, a game by Crabware ("we", "us"). By installing or playing the game you agree to them, and to the terms of the store you got it from.

The licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play Snowman 3000 on devices you own or control: on iPhone and iPad under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, and on Android under the Google Play Terms of Service. The game, its code, artwork, characters and names remain ours.

Ads

The game is free to play and shows ads: ads between missions, and rewarded ads you can choose to watch for a bonus. The Remove Ads purchase turns off the ads between missions; rewarded ads stay available and stay optional. How ads use your information, and your choices, are in the privacy policy.

Purchases

Optional in-app purchases, such as bundles, packs of coal, Remove Ads and the Golden Gala set, are sold and processed by Apple or Google under their terms, at the price the store shows you. Refunds are handled by them too. Purchases that last, like Remove Ads, are tied to your Apple ID or Google account: use Restore Purchases in the game's Settings to get them back on another device or after reinstalling.

Virtual items

Coal, baubles, accessories, crates, snowmen, ranks and upgrades are game content, not property or currency. They have no monetary value, can't be transferred, sold or exchanged for real money, and may be changed or rebalanced to keep the game fair and fun. Accessory crates are free (from daily ops, daily orders, the advent calendar and rewarded ads) and give random accessories; the game shows the odds before you open one.

Your progress

Your progress is kept on your device and, where available, in iCloud (iPhone and iPad) or Google Play Games saved games (Android) [confirm both ship in version 1]. We take care to keep it safe but can't guarantee it will never be lost, and progress can't move between iOS and Android.

Fair play

Don't cheat, exploit bugs, modify or reverse-engineer the game, or interfere with it, its leaderboards, its ads or its purchases (moving your device's clock to skip timers counts). We may reset progress or remove leaderboard entries earned that way.

Changes to the game

We may update the game, add, change or remove features and content, or stop offering it. Seasonal things like the advent calendar run on their real dates.

No warranty

The game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any damages arising from playing it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that can't be limited, such as your rights as a consumer where you live.

The law

These terms are governed by the laws of [England and Wales: confirm]. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protections your local law gives you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the game grows. Significant changes will be noted in the game's release notes; the date above always tells you which version applies.
